GENEROUS JUSTICE

Sue O’Donnell. 15.03.21

“Stronger than all the evils in the soul is the Word, and the healing power that dwells in Him.” (Origen)

This healing power is that of holy love,

A love which is compassionate towards us,

A love which forgives and forgets all sinfulness.

The Lord Jesus paid the highest price with His life

To secure this generous justice for us.

This is the God given justice which heals,

Emotionally, physically, relationally and essentially, spiritually.

“Today we have no right to open our mouths, shame and dishonour are the lot of those who serve and worship You.” (Daniel 3 v 33 TNJB)

But our Father’s righteous anger is turned away from us,

By Christ Jesus offering His holiness at the † of crucifixion.

In this way, our hope of heaven’s destination is renewed.

We pray in the name of Christ Jesus.

We pray asking forgiveness, for He lived and died for us.

We pray with a repentant, heavy heart.

This is the start of mercies’ generous justice.

“ ‘Do not abandon us forever, for the sake of Your name; do not repudiate Your covenant, do not withdraw Your favour from us...” (Daniel 3 v 34, 35 TNJB)

“Yet ours were the sufferings He was bearing, ours the sorrow He was carrying, while we thought of Him as someone punished and struck with affliction by God; whereas He was being wounded for our rebellions, crushed because of our guilt; the punishment reconciling us fell on Him, and we have been healed by His bruises.” (Isaiah 53 v 4, 5 TNJB

Please pray because “We had all gone astray like sheep, each taking his (her) own way, and Yaweh brought the acts of rebellion of all of us to bear on Him.” (Isaiah 53 v 6 TNJB)

Pease pray for us to learn from Christ Jesus’ example when falsely accused. “Ill treated and afflicted, He never opened His mouth, like a lamb led to the slaughter-house, like a sheep dumb before its shearers He never opened His mouth.” (Isaiah 53 v 7 TNJB)

Please pray for God’s merciful forgiveness, to cleanse and heal us from all sinfulness.

Please pray for our deliverance from all that is evil, all to the glory of the almighty Trinity of such mercy.

Please pray that many more will recognise the grace and peace our heavenly Father gifts us, through the life and death of the Lord Jesus, by means of the Holy Spirit.

Please pray as “God with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus, when He freed us from the penalty of our sins.” (Romans 3 v 25 NLT)

Please pray for the recognition that “God is so rich in mercy and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead.” (Ephesians 2 v 4, 5 NLT)

Please pray because “It is only by God’s grace that we have been saved.” (based on v 5) This merciful love is our anchor.

Please pray never to forget nor ignore the Lord’s precepts, all based on the command to love.

Please pray in thanksgiving for the saving blood the Lord Jesus shed for us at the †.

Please pray for the Spirit of truth to be clearly active within our thoughts and reactions as we prepare for Easter’s joyous celebration.

Please pray to be as faithful to the Lord God as the Trinity is to us.

Please pray in times of trial and temptation that we do not succumb to satan and his deceits. Amen.
